Site ranking

After entering a user query, websites on the page do not appear in a chaotic order, as it may seem at first glance. Search engines use a complex suite of programs and algorithms capable of finding, indexing, analyzing, and ranking virtual resources.

The order of displaying an internet resource in search results is called ranking.

Ranking (determining the position of a website) is divided into subjective, link-based, and objective ranking.

Subjective ranking takes into account the user interface’s convenience and the beauty of the website’s design.

Link-based ranking refers to the total number of links to a website placed on other resources across the internet. The number of websites linking to a specific resource affects its actual position in search engine rankings.

Objective ranking includes the number and density of keywords in the title, page description, and main content.

Additional factors influencing ranking:

• Registration in major directories;

• Behavioral factors: number of visitors, number of views, depth of site exploration, and the duration visitors spend on the site.

• Overall quality of the resource (uniqueness of design, content, etc.).
