Optimization

Filling the website with content is one of the most crucial aspects of working with an advertised resource. Firstly, the site should not be too “skinny” with a small number of pages, unless it is a simple business card site. Secondly, the amount of content on each page should be optimal; empty pages will not help gain favor with search engines, just as overly long, over-optimized “sheets” will not.

Rules for content: it should be unique, thematic, readable, and interesting for visitors, with optimal inclusion of relevant keywords for the specific page, supplemented by graphic elements. From the very first days of the site’s life, one should forget about copied texts from other resources and make efforts to write good articles by hand or commission them.

Texts on the page should be accompanied by headers of levels h1-h3; this makes the page more structured and facilitates content perception for the website visitor. The presence of keywords in the headers is encouraged. In general, when composing page content, it is important to consider the use of relevant keywords in various elements: in the text (remembering about “keyword stuffing”), in the URL, in the headers, in the title, keywords, and description tags, and in the alt attribute when describing images.

Images are another important component of content. Graphics allow for breaking up textual descriptions, making them more interesting and appealing. However, images also require optimization. Too large images will weigh down the page and hinder its loading, while too small images will clutter the design. The graphics should harmoniously fit into the overall design of the page. Adding alt descriptions for each image will help bring additional traffic from image search on Yandex and Google.

Regular work on placing new content on the pages, developing sections, and adding news will positively affect the site’s indexing. Systematic content updates, using RSS feeds, as well as adding new content to social bookmarking services will attract the attention of fast bots, leading to rapid indexing and ranking of pages in search results, taking their internal parameters into account.
